Craftmetry

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

The short version: The iPhone app includes a brief preview without an account. The website requires an account before opening a tool and gives each new account a one-time 15-minute trial. We use an account to sign you in, connect eligible access across the app and website, and sync the saved work you choose to keep. We do not sell personal information or run advertising trackers.

1. Who we are

Craftmetry is a mobile and web reference toolkit for jobsite professionals, published by Corvora ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we process information when you use the Craftmetry iPhone app, website at buildspecs.corvora.app, related support services, or Corvora pages that promote Craftmetry (collectively, the "Service").

2. Device, browser, and preview information

The iPhone app does not require an account for its initial calculator preview: 15 minutes in version 1.0.7 and later, and 10 minutes in earlier versions. On the website, anonymous visitors may view the home and account/support pages, but must create or sign in to an account before opening a tool. Calculator inputs, layouts, recent calculations, and preferences are stored locally on your device unless you sign in, which enables the account-based sync described below.

3. Account information

If you choose to create or sign in to a Craftmetry account, our authentication provider, Clerk, processes the information needed to authenticate you. Depending on the sign-in method, that can include your email address, optional name, account identifier, and a profile image supplied by a sign-in provider such as Google. Clerk handles authentication credentials and session records, including IP address, browser or device information, sign-in activity, and approximate city or country derived from the IP address. We use account information to sign you in, protect your account, administer the one-time web trial, link eligible access, and provide support. Passwords, when used, are handled by Clerk; Corvora does not keep a separate copy of your password.

4. Saved-work sync

When you are signed in, Craftmetry can sync supported saved calculations and planner layouts between your devices. The synced records contain the calculation or layout data you save, a record name or identifier when present, and update timestamps. The records are stored with your Craftmetry account identifier in our cloud database so that they can be returned only to your signed-in account.

Saved-work sync is meant for jobsite reference data, not sensitive personal information. Please do not enter information that you would not want stored in your account.

5. Previously available map features

Property Lines is currently unavailable in Craftmetry. New releases do not request location access or load property maps. The following describes data handling in earlier versions where the tool was available.

In earlier versions, the iPhone app's Property Lines tool loaded Parcel Desk in an embedded web view. You can search a U.S. street address, choose a point on the map, or optionally allow precise location access to find nearby parcel boundaries and public assessor information. If you use location, the tool may continue receiving location updates while it is open so it can center and follow the map.

Parcel Desk sends the address, search text, map area, or coordinates needed to its service, map providers, geocoding services, and source-labeled public government data services to return the requested map and records. The protected Parcel Desk service verifies a short-lived session associated with your Craftmetry account. Map providers receive the request information needed to deliver their services; direct requests from your device also reveal its IP address and browser information. Corvora does not send your Craftmetry name, email, or subscription details to the public map and government data services.

Map and hosting providers may retain request information, including requested map areas or searches, IP addresses, timestamps, response status, and technical performance information, for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and service-usage reporting. Because requests are not anonymized before they reach every provider, we do not treat all location and search information as anonymous or unlinked to you. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

The embedded view keeps recent searches and the working map position in local web storage on your device, separated by account. These map records are not part of calculator saved-work sync. Map services include OpenStreetMap, Esri/ArcGIS, and the public data providers identified with each result. Their policies govern their handling of requests. Parcel boundaries and assessor records are public reference information and are not a legal survey.

6. Subscription and payment information

Subscriptions may be purchased through the Apple App Store in the iPhone app or through Stripe Checkout on the website. Apple and Stripe process payment-card or App Store payment details under their own policies; Corvora does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

See Apple's Privacy Policy and Stripe's Privacy Policy for their handling of payment information.

7. Support and communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, device or app-version details, screenshots, and the content of your request. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

8. Technical information, analytics, and advertising

Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes and retains standard request information to deliver and protect the website, the iPhone app's connected services, and the embedded map. This can include IP address, approximate country, browser or device information, requested routes and search parameters, timestamps, response status, errors, and request timing. Request logs are separate from saved calculations. Authentication cookies and authorization headers are redacted in the hosting logs available to us.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, cross-context behavioral advertising, session-replay tools, or advertising features in Google Analytics. RevenueCat provides subscription and entitlement reporting connected to purchases and access.

With your affirmative choice, the Corvora, Craftmetry, and Craftmetry landing websites use Google Analytics to measure page visits and a small number of product-path actions, such as choosing web or iPhone access, starting checkout, and confirming a web subscription. Google Analytics may receive information such as page and referrer information, browser or device context, online identifiers, and the event name. We do not intentionally send account details, calculator inputs, saved work, or payment information to Google Analytics.

Optional analytics load only after an affirmative choice, and you can withdraw that choice at any time through Privacy choices. We honor a browser Global Privacy Control signal by keeping optional analytics off. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

9. How we use and share information

We use the information described above to operate the Service, authenticate accounts, sync saved work, provide and restore subscriptions, prevent fraud or misuse, respond to support requests, maintain security, and comply with law.

We share information with service providers only as needed to provide those functions: Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and cloud storage, Apple and Stripe for payments, RevenueCat for subscription management, Parcel Desk and its map providers for previously available property lookups, Google Analytics for optional website audience measurement, and providers that handle support communications. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the Service, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Retention and your choices

We retain account and synced saved-work data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Hosting, authentication, map, and subscription providers retain their operational records under their own policies and applicable obligations; these records can remain after a request has finished or local map history has been cleared. We do not promise a single retention period across those independent providers.

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export personal information associated with your Craftmetry account by emailing the address below. You may also initiate account deletion inside the iPhone app under About & Support. Account deletion removes your Craftmetry authentication identity and synced saved work, but locally stored work remains on your device unless you clear it separately. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Stripe subscription, so please cancel the subscription through the original payment channel first. Payment and subscription providers may retain transaction information under their own policies and legal obligations. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and may retain limited information where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. For EEA, UK, and similar residents, we process information to perform our contract with you, with your consent where required, for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and to comply with legal obligations.

11. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

12. Children

Craftmetry is intended for adult professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address the request.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
